freeze marking

freeze marking

Postby Helen » Thu Jun 18, 2009 5:42 pm

Didn't really know where to put this; on Tue night a horse was stolen from a field about a mile from where my horse's field is. I'm getting him micro chipped tomorrow & would like to get him freeze marked but don't know where to go to get this done.
Can anyone advise me?

hi, i think the company who freezemark is called farmkey- they do discounts for multiples so worth asking friends if they want it done. otherwise ask your insurers- if they recommend someone you may get a discount- on the marking and your insurance but think they would recommend farmkey anyway. should be able to find them via google or in horsey mags.hope that helps. good decision your boy is rather yummy!!

That is sweet of you Vonny, the lads at work call him a donkey or carthorse :( .
I asked my vet & she recommened Farmkey as well. Looked up the web site & clicked on the stolen register to find about 50% were shetlands! Lot of coloured cobs, less Tb/warmblood, I guess they are all inside at night.
Thanks for the info
